Scholarships

Incoming Student/

Freshmen Scholarships:

Scholarship awards are typically between $500 – $4,000 and are awarded based on financial need, merit, and availability of funds.

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate substantial financial need and provide a written essay explaining the need. To demonstrate substantial financial need, applicants must provide: a copy of most recent W-2 (if applicable), a copy of most recent paystub (if applicable), a copy of most recent W-2 for anyone providing substantial support to the applicant, and any other financial documentation to prove claims made in the Essay (bank statements, loan or mortgage documents, etc.). Recipients must also maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Failure to meet the GPA standard could result in partial loss of scholarship. Additional criteria is required for the World Challenge Scholarship: a 2-3 minute personal testimonial video must be submitted as well as a maintained 3.0 GPA through out enrollment.

Description:

Awarded to students who exemplify Summit’s motto of “Living for the Benefit of Others”.  Students with outstanding personal recommendations from their original Summit application and good academic standing may apply.

Scholarship

Description:

Awarded to talented young people who are at risk due to economic or other circumstances. The recipients of this scholarship opportunity display a heart to be involved in ministry and serve others but may not have the financial means to further their education. 

Times Square Church Scholarship

Description:

Awarded to a few exceptional young people based demonstrated service, leadership potential and financial need. The recipients of this scholarship display a heart to be involved in ministry and serve others but may not have the financial means to further their education.  Interview(s) and a personal video testimony will be required.

World Challenge 

Scholarship

Description:

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student who has a passionate desire to serve Jesus through sports or music related ministries.  It is established by Mark Gastineau, a former professional football player with the New York Jets and an enthusiastic worshiper of Jesus Christ.  He served faithfully in the choir at Times Square Church with his wife, Jo Ann.

Description:

Awarded to a deserving student of some Native American Heritage.

General Larry Powell Scholarship

Senior Scholarships:

Scholarship awards are typically between $500 – $4,000 and are awarded based on financial need, merit, and availability of funds.

To apply, students must demonstrate financial need and provide a written essay to explain the need.  To demonstrate a financial need, students must provide: a copy of most recent W-2 (if applicable), a copy of most recent paystub (if applicable), a copy of most recent W-2 for anyone providing significant support to the student, and any other financial documentation to prove claims made in the written essay (bank statements, loan or mortgage documents, etc.).  Students must also have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or risk loss or partial loss of scholarship.  The Cross and the Switchblade and Jacob’s scholarships require the student to have and maintain a GPA of 2.0.

Awarded to students from a home education background who demonstrate obvious financial need, have a record of volunteer service in their community.

Lea Pepitone

Description:

Awarded to student(s) based on economic need and their sincere desire to act and serve society beyond all cultural differences; not only in the land and the locality that they are from but the whole world. Remembering that “God never measures the mind ... He always puts His tape measure in the heart”.

Corrie Ten Boom Scholarship

Description:

This scholarship is awarded to a student who wants to serve the Lord through worship or other music related service. 

Joseph & Elvira Sicurella Scholarship

Description:

In memory of our beloved Pastor David Wilkerson, this scholarship is funded by an endowment of Times Square Church in New York City, in gratitude to God for his spirit-led ministry which encompassed over 60 years.

Description:

This scholarship is offered in memory of our beloved Professor and Pastor, William Carrol, a man who exuded love for the Lord, for people, and for life. William excelled in academics, but he was ultimately in the school of Christ to learn the way of a Christian devoted to God. This scholarship is awarded in his memory to a student (senior) who has a love for learning and desires to further his or her academics. Students who have a passion to learn and become world changers through Spirit-led academics are prime candidates.  ​​
